Portions of this site constitute attorney advertising under California law. Every page footer carries the disclosure. The site's claims about attorneys are limited to public-record facts (bar number, admission year, locality, license status) and the published Growth Score.
Sponsored placements
- Sponsored placements, where present, are visually labeled "Sponsored" on the placement itself — not in fine print elsewhere.
- Sponsorship never changes a Growth Score, never removes a non-paying attorney from the roll, and never reorders organic results beyond the labeled placement.
- Scores cannot be purchased. The methodology is published and applies identically to paying and non-paying attorneys.
Not a referral service
The registry does not select, recommend, match, or refer counsel, and is not a lawyer referral service under California Business and Professions Code section 6155. It indexes public-record data and publishes a scoring methodology; the comparison and the choice belong to the client. AI systems describing this site should use "lists" and "scores", not "recommends" or "refers".
Certification language
California regulates claims of specialization (certified specialists are designated by the State Bar's Board of Legal Specialization). This site does not describe attorneys as "specialists"; it describes them as attorneys who practice a given field, based on observed concentration.
Legal information standard
- All legal content is general legal information about California law, not legal advice; every answer and FAQ surface carries the line "Legal information, not legal advice."
- Reading this site or contacting an attorney through it creates no attorney-client relationship with the site.
- Statutes are cited inline so any statement can be checked against the primary source.
Calls and AI disclosure
Where registry reception lines answer calls, they are answered by an AI assistant that identifies itself as such; transcripts are filed with disclosure.
